Urban rafting

It was really pouring down with rain today – the very wet kind. It was as if it got under my skin. It certainly got into my jeans and shoes.

Biking along Akerselva, the river dividing Oslo into west and east, I came across these guys who were obviously having a great time. Unbeknownst to them, the heavy rapids of Øvre Foss was about 200 metres downstream, ensuring an expedient death if they weren’t to get on to the bank at the right time.
